Welcome to our series Golfers We Love. Where we interview women who love the game of golf. Whether they play professionally, work in the industry or just love to play occasionally, we want to share their stories with you!

Thank you so much for doing this interview Cheyenne! Okay, let’s jump right in! When did you start playing golf and was it love at first swing?

I started playing golf around the age of 5. I guess you could say it was love at first swing, I grew up playing a lot of different sports but golf was the one that stuck for me.

That is so awesome that you started playing so young and loved it! So you’ve gone through Q School a couple times and played your way into receiving your LPGA card each time. How was that process for you?

Q School is never fun. It’s definitely the most stressful week of my golf career. Each player has so much on the line in that one week, it’s not necessarily a fun place to be haha. Although it’s stressful, it is such a rewarding feeling getting through. So many emotions in that moment of realizing your dream and earning an LPGA tour card.

It really is stressful! That has to be the most amazing feeling at the end though. We get this question a lot so we thought we’d throw it to you! What do you think is the strongest part of your game? And on the opposite end, what’s something that you are really focusing on right now to improve?

I’ve always been a great ball striker, and that’s the part of my game I know I can lean on. However, it’s the short game where you really make up the most shots. So for the last couple of years, I’ve really been focusing on my short wedges and around the greens.

Short game is definitely the key to getting and keeping those low numbers. Now we know you’ve been all over the world and played in some of the biggest professional women’s golf events. What has been the most memorable for you so far?

The great thing about golf is that we get to travel all over the world and compete. I think one of my most memorable trips has been the Dubai Ladies Masters. Dubai is such a special place and it had been on my bucket list since I can remember.

So stunning. That tournament just looks like a dream! We totally get having it be on your bucket list. Now, if you were talking with someone who was thinking about playing golf, what would you tell them to convince them they should play?

I would tell them that golf is so unique in the sense that you can play literally anywhere you go. One of my favorite parts about golf is that no matter where I travel to, I can find a pretty amazing golf course to play and enjoy. It’s also a social sport you can play a round with your girls or just go out and spend time with the family. And on top of both of those, you can play at almost any age.

All great points! Okay…now for some off-topic questions! Let’s get to know you a little more. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

I would be a royal purple. Purple has always been my favorite color, and I feel like a royal purple exudes strength and feminism! 🙂

For sure! We can just feel the strength and feminism from your purple crayon aura! Next up…If golf had a walk outsong like baseball, what would yours be?
Anything by Beyonce.

We think we should try and make that happen, ASAP. That would be incredible! Well, besides golf, what are some of your hobbies?
I love to hike, take my dog to the dog park, dance, and beat my family at ping pong.

Family ping pong tournaments are the bomb, that sounds like a fun time! So we all try to eat healthy and work out but if you could have any guilty-pleasure food right now, what would it be?
Pizza, for sure.

Ugh, yes. Always a place for some good pizza! Alright! Last one Cheyenne! What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
I have a bad habit of forgetting/losing things. Most recently, I was going out of the country for a pro-am outing. I arrived to the airport and realized I left my entire suitcase at home. Not my brightest moment!

Ah! That would be the worst and super stressful! Thank you so much for sharing Cheyenne!
